Hi I’m Matt, Owner of room 57, with over a decade of experience working as a barber, I haven’t stopped soaking up the industry since the day I started, my true passion for the craft shines through each and every time I pick up those scissors! I consider myself a friendly respectful person who gets on with all walks of life. I love to get to know people and build relationships with my clients, I enjoy everything that comes with working in a barber shop, whether it be the creativity of a haircut, the precision of a wet shave, the buzzing of clippers, chatting and laughter, the smell of cologne or just sitting down with my client and listening to their life experiences.
I opened Room57 in 2022 with one goal, to offer top-quality cuts in a space where everyone feels welcome. Since then, we’ve grown into one of Chester’s top-rated barbershops, and we’re proud of the 5-star reviews we receive from our amazing clients.
We cater to all ages from toddlers to seniors and we’re all about great cuts, good chats, and building real connections with the people who sit in our chairs. Whether it’s your first visit or your tenth, we strive to deliver excellent service every single time.
Outside of work, I’m a proud dad and family man. I love spending time exploring North Wales, holidays abroad, and playing golf when I can. Life at home is full of love and a bit of chaos thanks to our kids, cockapoo and two cats but I wouldn’t change a thing.
